I’m currently fascinated with this building.
Beaumont Court was originally intended to be used as an installation, on personal reflections of an imagined aesthetic, caused by the accumulation of movement and activity in transitional space. However, on completion and review, and discussion with others, I made the decision for this to be the foundations of a longer, narrative based, musical film about the character of the building itself. The soundtrack to this film has been produced acousmatically using audio recordings of the ambiance and acoustics of the building. The sound design for the future film will adhere to these same principles.

The Square Mile
I’ve had a mild obsession with this part of London for some time. I find, that a combination of the sublime aesthetics of the architecture and the assumed ruthlessness of its inhabitants provides an interesting polarity. I walk there often. The 3 photographs and video below were all created from images and sounds, taken and recorded in the area.

External Sound Compiler:
Electroacoustic performance designed exclusively around sounds recorded in the street, mostly within the Square Mile (London financial district) on an R-09HR. No instruments or other digital or synthesised sounds have been used and no FX or reverb processing has been applied. All final sounds made only with compression, EQ (negative only), time and pitch manipulation of the original files and live editing.
